REGARDLESS OF YOUR PROCESS, USING A CLEANING TOOL BELT JUST MAKES SENSE

WITH THE DIFFICULTY  RECRUITING NEW CLEANERS WE NEED TO DO ANYTHING WE CAN TO MAKE THEIR JOBS EASIER SO THEY WILL NOT LEAVE THEM

KEY FACTOR:

Cleaners are hard to find and harder to keep.  You are also selling time in this business. Whatever you can do to keep cleaners and increase efficiency without costing you tons of money or sacrificing quality must be done.  Cleaning tool belts are a key contributor to easier cleaning with increased efficiency.  Adding aprons as a tool in your company also increases the level of quality.  Cleaning a home without a tool belt is like running a company without a computer. It can be done, but why would you?

ACTION ITEM:

Find cleaning tool belts that will meet the needs of your cleaning process. Most cleaners prefer the half aprons. The pockets need to be large enough to carry several cleaning cloths and the tool belt should be lined so that cleaners can carry a damp non-abrasive sponge with them at all times or put a wet small tile brush back in the tool belt.  Plan a meeting where you will kick off the distribution and use of aprons. This would be a great time to also put a cleaning process in place, if you do not have one. Then follow them out into the field and show them how to use the tool belts because just distributing them without showing them how to use them is a waste of time. The tool belts will never be used. They need to see, learn, implement and feel the benefits.

IMPLEMENTATION PROCESS:

Each new cleaner should be issued a cleaning tool belt and shown how to use the tool belt to their benefit.  What to put in each pocket and how to use the loops.  The same process will need to be followed with your current staff if they are not using a cleaning tool belt now. Explain to them that every professional in the service industry utilizes a tool belt to make their jobs easier. Electricians wear tool belts. Waitresses and bar tenders wear aprons. Lab technicians and doctors wear jackets with large pockets. A cleaner will save more than a week, actually 7 days of backtracking steps that they will not need to make because they have a cleaning tool belt to hold all of the things they need to clean a home without being tied to their bucket. Think of how much easier their jobs will be and then convince them of that by showing them how and when to use the cleaning tool belt.

If you do not see your cleaners in the client’s homes often then be sure to check each paycheck period that they still have their cleaning tool belt. In all probability you will know this before you need to check because the efficiency and quality will have dropped since they stopped using their tool belts, but there is a chance you can ‘beat the problems to the punch’. Every pay day our cleaners had to bring in their tool belt and the 5 tools that went with the aprons. If they don’t have the tools they cannot be following the system.

WE WOULDN’T USE ANYTHING ELSE
“The Cleaning Tool Belt from Rags to Riches/Success Maid Easy is by far the best cleaning tool belt we have used in the last 18 years in business.  All the other cleaning aprons out there are just that, aprons.  The others are made of cloth so that when a cleaner puts a wet sponge or something damp into the apron, not only does the apron get wet but so does the employee.  The Cleaning Belt has a backing to it that resists the water so it keeps the employee from getting wet.  We also like the big pockets so that we can put all the cloths and bottles we need into them preventing us from having to go back and forth for more products.  We wouldn’t use anything else.”

Cleaning tool belt with buckle-Grey or black-Billowed pockets hold up to 3 microfiber cloths per pocket when cloths are rolled-Choice of 2 styles.
